Volunteer!
The Norwich Historical Society is grateful for the many volunteers who donate their time, energy and expertise. We welcome new volunteers at any time. There are opportunities for those who wish to help on a regular basis, or at specific events on a one-time (or more) basis. Please give us a call or email: 802.649.0124 or email: norwichhistory@gmail.com.
The William M. Aldrich Volunteer of the Year Award was voted on unanimously by the Board of Trustees in 2013 to honor and thank Bill Aldrich for his 37 years of service on behalf of the Norwich Historical Society. Over the years Bill’s incredible personal knowledge of Norwich’s rich history has been and continues to be an invaluable resource for the Society. Even though he has retired some of his volunteer duties, he still continues to support the Society on various committees and projects related to the building and to the community. Bill has set a high standard for volunteer service that will continue to inspire us all!
Roger Blake, long-time Historical Society volunteer, received the first Aldrich Volunteer of the Year Award at the Society’s annual meeting. Roger demonstrates daily just how important volunteers are to the lifeblood of an organization.
