A fundraiser for the Norwich Historical Society

A self-guided adventure to visit the working valley farms and historic hill farms of Norwich.

A map, history podcast, and pop-up exhibits of historic photographs at the farms will provide you with new stories about Norwich’s agricultural heritage while on your tour. Purchase an add-on to the tour ticket that includes all the ingredients and recipes for a fabulous localvore meal. Coolers with your ingredients will be waiting for you at each farm.

Note: When you sign up, you will see set departure times. We are spreading out departure times to support social distancing along the way. The last day to order the food add-ons is Monday, June 14.

Bicycle Brunch Tour of Norwich's Working Farms

Your morning ride will take you on a 14-mile loop to three of Norwich’s working farms (Honey Field Farm, Sweetland Farm, and Hogwash Farm) to gather food to make a delicious brunch –enough for 2-4 people–when you get home.

Leaves from Norwich Historical Society where you will receive your map and history podcast. Finish your ride back at Norwich Historical Society and receive a final few ingredients and the recipes for your meal.  E-bikes are available to rent or borrow (see below).

Driving Dinner Tour of Working Farms and Hill Farms

Your afternoon drive will take you on a 20-mile loop to three of Norwich’s working farms (Honey Field Farm, Sweetland Farm, and Hogwash Farm) where you will gather food to make a delicious dinner –enough for 2-4 people–when you get home. Two of Norwich’s historic hill farms are also on the tour with pop-up exhibits of old photographs.

Leaves from Norwich Historical Society where you will receive your map and history podcast. End your tour back at the Norwich Historical Society and receive a final few ingredients and the recipes for your meal.

Explore our beautiful hill farms and learn about Norwich’s rich agricultural history (we’ll take you to this spot).

Rent an E-Bike!

Hanover Adventure Tours has ebikes available for the morning tour. They will deliver your e-bike to the Norwich Green on the morning of the tour. For every rental, they will donate $20 to NHS.
