Exhibition: Call for Entries
Norwich Historical Society is seeking submissions of art that expresses the theme of Mending the Spaces Between for a juried exhibition May 20 – November 11, 2022. The theme has been chosen in response to an artifact in the collection –a 19th-century church Bible that was vandalized in 1848. After finding it, the church Deacon left a note to “all future generations” telling what had happened. His note has led us to develop a project that considers what happens when people lose their ability to talk and listen. How can we mend the spaces in between so we have a world of civility? All disciplines of artwork will be considered.
Show Dates: May 20– November 11, 2022
Show Location: Norwich Historical Society, 277 Main Street, Norwich, VT 05055
Artist Information Sessions: Tuesday, December 14th (1:30pm, 3:00pm, and 5:30pm) and Wednesday, December 15 at 5:30pm, Norwich Historical Society
You are invited to see the Bible and learn its story. We will hold a discussion about the theme of Mending the Spaces Between and brainstorm how this exhibit can be an opportunity to open discussions about how and why we need to mend our world.
