Veterans of Norwich, Vermont
An exhibit of photos by Chad Finer
Currently on display at the Norwich Historical Society

This exhibit highlights the work of Chad Finer as part of his series on the current residents of Norwich. Interspersed among his fine photographs are artifacts from the Historical Society’s collection in tribute to the many Norwich men and women who left this community to serve our country.

In Chad’s words:

In December 2012, I began meeting with and interviewing men and women of Norwich who have served in the Armed Forces. As part of my overall Town project to document who is living in Norwich (2006 to 2016), this Veteran’s group seemed to ideally fit in. Running the gamut from D-Day World War II participants to current men and women in the service in Iraq or Afghanistan – this group went off to serve our country in various capacities in country and overseas. I have listened and recorded many a harrowing story of their time away. I have learned a lot about what it took to serve. This exhibit helps to document those who now live in our town who went off to serve our country. It is with thanks that I present them here. In addition, I have videoed interviews with each person. These interviews are available for review.
