Have you ever wondered how the roads we traverse got their names?
Our new exhibit takes you on a journey through Norwich and to the past to learn about the Braggs, Brighams, Pattrells and other families who farmed the land for generations and left their imprints on the landscape. Photographs, letters, diaries, and artifacts bring their shadows on the landscape into focus.
Explore layers of maps to see how the town developed, create a memory map of your neighborhood to leave in our archives, and try your hand at a map puzzle. This exhibit will leave you looking at Norwich through fresh eyes and thinking about how we leave our hands on the land today.
